570FireRadio Help Guides

Get more from your subscription: connect your phone, choose channels, build scan lists, replay calls and personalize alerts.

Phone listening uses the ThinLine Radio app. The detailed button paths below are for the desktop web player; mobile app screens may differ. You can only access channels included in your subscription.

Open 570FireRadio → · Check coverage · Subscription setup

1. Connect your phone

1. Install ThinLine Radio using the app link in your 570FireRadio setup email.

2. On that same phone, open the setup link from your email and follow the prompts to connect your account. Enter your account password if requested.

3. If the page says “Opening the app…” but nothing happens, use its “Tap here if nothing happens” link after installing the app.

4. If setup fails, check that you are using the email address associated with your subscription, then contact support for help reconnecting.

The email setup link is for your account and is used once when setup completes. Keep it private. Mobile browsers are for account management; use the native app to listen on your phone, or a desktop browser on your computer.

2. Choose what you hear

1. In the desktop player, open Channels. Search by channel name, system or ID, or select a county/system and expand a category.

2. Click a channel tile to turn it on or off. Check the enabled count before starting the live feed. Use a category’s Enable or Disable controls for several channels at once.

3. Select Live Feed to listen to incoming calls from your enabled channels. Use Pause to pause playback and Resume to continue.

4. Star your regular channels for quick access, then use Enable Favs when you want those favorites enabled.

A star marks a favorite; it is not the same as enabling a channel. Channel selection controls live listening. Archive searches have their own filters.

3. Build a custom scan list

1. Go to Channels → Scan Lists → New. Give the list a useful name, such as “Home area” or “Luzerne Fire.”

2. Select the list and choose Edit. Expand a system and click the channels you want to add. Click a selected channel again to remove it.

3. Changes to list membership save automatically. Choose Done to close the channel editor.

4. Use the list’s on/off control to enable or disable its channels, then start Live Feed.

Turning on a list leaves channels outside that list unchanged. If you only want that list, turn off other channels first. Favorites is a separate list built from the channels you star.

4. Replay and find past calls

For something you just missed, choose Replay Last to restart the current call or replay the previous call when nothing is playing. Skip Next moves to the next queued call.

To find an older transmission:

1. Open Transmissions → Search in the desktop player.

2. Select a Date. Choose Time if needed; the time control becomes available after choosing a date.

3. Narrow the results by system, then talkgroup. Use Newest or Oldest to change the order.

4. Select a result’s play button. Scroll for more results. Use Reset to clear filters if you cannot find the call.

With Live Feed active, a selected archive call interrupts playback and the listening queue resumes afterward. Available history depends on retained recordings and your plan; not every transmission will be available.

5. Set your alert preferences

1. Open Alerts → Preferences in the desktop player.

2. Search for a channel or select its system and category. Enable alerts for the channel you want.

3. Where available, choose Tone Alerts for detected paging tones or Keyword Alerts for matching transcript text. Pick the available tone sets or keyword lists that fit your interests.

4. Choose Save and wait for the save to complete before leaving.

For tone alerts, leaving the tone-set selection empty means all configured tone sets for that channel; select specific sets if you want a narrower choice. Available options depend on the channel’s configuration.

Listening selections and alert preferences are separate. Turning a channel on for live audio does not replace setting its alert preferences. Automated transcripts and detections can be imperfect; listen to the audio for context.

6. Customize alert sounds

1. In the desktop player, go to Settings → Audio → Alerts.

2. Choose an Alert Sound, then use Test Sound to check that your browser and speakers can play it.

3. Use Per-Channel Alert Sounds where available to give a channel a different sound. Leave it on Default to use the main sound.

These controls configure browser sounds. For phone notifications, also check ThinLine Radio’s app settings and your phone’s notification permissions, sound settings and Focus/Do Not Disturb mode.

7. Fix silent or delayed audio

No sound? Confirm that your connection and subscription are active, at least one channel is enabled, Live Feed is on and playback is not paused. Check both the player volume and your device’s sound output, including Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

Only one channel playing? Check Hold TG and Hold SYS. An active hold limits what you hear. Also check whether the channel was avoided or disabled.

Hearing older calls at startup? In Settings → Audio → Live Feed, check Backlog (minutes). A value of 0 requests only new calls; a larger value includes earlier audio. Required system delays still apply.

Police audio on 570FireRadio has a 60-second delay. Quiet periods can also mean there are no new calls on your selected channels; silence alone does not prove a fault.

Still stuck? Email support@570fireradio.com with your device, app or browser version, channel, approximate time and what you expected to happen. Do not include your password or private setup link.
